Information the Extension Processes

Search Results Navigator is a browser extension that provides keyboard navigation for search engine results pages.

The extension processes the following information locally in the browser:

• Search-result page structure and website content, so it can identify results, sections, pagination controls, and other navigable elements.
• Keyboard input, such as Tab, arrow keys, and optional Vim-style shortcuts, so it can provide navigation functionality.
• The current search-page URL and domain, so the extension can determine which supported search engine is being displayed.

This information is processed only to provide the extension's navigation features. The extension does not send this information to the developer or to external servers.

Information Stored

The extension stores user preferences using the browser's storage facility. These preferences may include:

• Navigation settings
• Keyboard shortcut settings
• Search-result section preferences
• Pagination settings
• Focus-highlight styling preferences
• Other extension configuration options

These settings may be synchronized by the browser through its storage-sync service. The developer does not have access to the synchronized settings.

The extension does not store search queries, page content, browsing history, keyboard logs, or usage analytics.

Information Sharing

The developer does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user information to third parties.

The extension does not transmit page content, search queries, keyboard input, or browsing information to any developer-controlled server.

The extension includes an optional link to Ko-fi. If a user chooses to visit that link, the visit is handled by Ko-fi and is subject to Ko-fi's own privacy policy. The extension does not send user data to Ko-fi.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because the developer does not receive or maintain a server-side database of user information, there is no developer-held user data to retain or delete.

Users can remove stored extension preferences by resetting the extension settings, clearing the browser's extension storage, or uninstalling the extension. Browser synchronization behavior may depend on the user's browser account and settings.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permission:

• Storage: Used to save and synchronize extension preferences.

The extension also runs on supported search engine result pages. Host access is used only to identify search results and provide keyboard navigation on those pages.

Security

The extension does not transmit user data to external servers. The developer nevertheless takes reasonable measures to keep the extension's code and distribution packages secure.
